Derq is using its technology platform to improve the safety of connected and autonomous vehicles (C/AVs).

The company is helping clients of technology consultancy Parametrix that are looking to plan, design and implement corridors for C/AVs.

Derq's platform is powered by patented artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and predictive analytics and seeks to eliminate crashes and create safer and smarter roadways.

Hicham Chatila, national director of smart and liveable communities at Parametrix, says: “Through our strategic partnership with Derq, we provide our clients with unique AI technologies for advanced predictive analytics, C/AVs, road safety and transit applications.”

The move is part of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between both companies, with Parametrix focusing on smart and liveable community solutions that leverage Derq's technology platform. Meanwhile, Derq will provide training for its platform and ensure data integration with Parametrix developed solutions.

Derq co-founder Dr. Georges Aoude says: “Derq is powering the global transition to safer, more efficient and sustainable transportation."

The partnership with Parametrix "will help us accelerate this transition", he adds.
