Egis to operate and maintain India’s NH-7 toll road

Egis is to provide operation and maintenance for India’s National Highway 7 (NH-7), a 73 km toll motorway connecting Rewa and Hanumana in the Indian federal state of Madhya Pradesh. Under the three-year contract awarded by concession company VEPL (Vindhyachal Expressway Private Limited), Egis will provide toll collection, route patrolling and incident management and routine maintenance of a section of the 40 km stretch of toll road which has one six-lane toll plaza.

In a statement, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways says Fastag enabled vehicles can pass through dedicated lanes without stopping at toll plazas on national highways.
