Market driven requirements are behind the launch of the Elite version of the Aura, part of 92 Metric Group's range of pay and display parking and payment machines. A significant change is the Elite's full QWERTY alpha numeric keypad. The industrial keypad is used for entering data into the machine for payments against a vehicle registration or reference number, a growing trend in parking. The unit caters for all possible payment options including coins, bank notes, credit, debit or contactless cards, e-purse and smartcards.

    Nottingham City Council in the UK has placed an order for 200 Aura Elite pay and display parking meters manufactured by the Metric Group to replace their existing on and off street equipment. Metric, the UK’s only pay and display parking machine manufacturer, says it won the order against strong European competition.     Metric parking wins
    Metric Parking has been successful in winning orders for their pay and display parking machines in the UK and is to supply three local authorities in the south-west of England with their popular Elite pay and display machines. Bristol City Council has ordered the machines for on-street resident parking schemes in the city, using coin operated machines which will have an alpha numeric keypad for vehicle registration entry and will be networked through the Metric ASLAN web back office system.

    First Elites for New Zealand
    Elite pay and display parking machines manufactured by Metric Group in the UK have been shipped for the first time to New Zealand. The Aura Elites were ordered by Metric Parking’s distributor Automated Solutions who have implemented a marketing strategy for New Zealand. Metric has also received an order from its Australian distributor TMA for a total of 26 machines, 11 of which are for a hospital. The remainder have been ordered by TMA for stock.
