TomTom and ParkWhiz offer parking solutions in US and Canada
TomTom is integrating its maps with ParkWhiz’s database of parking facilities across the US and Canada to help drivers navigate more quickly to parking destinations. TomTom will allow drivers to view, reserve and pay for parking from their vehicles.

Netherlands-based TomTom, supplier of in-car location and navigation products and services is to partner with US headquartered ParkMe, a leading provider of dynamic and real-time parking data. The partnership will provide TomTom with ParkMe’s parking data and location information for parking garages and lots, as well as contact information. Data for more than 16,000 parking facilities throughout the US is available. This information is integrated into TomTom map products as a Point of Interest (POI), allowi
TomTom and Elgin are to collaborate to in a bid to deliver more accurate and validated real-time traffic information to drivers, fleet managers and traffic management professionals. TomTom Traffic in the United Kingdom now includes relevant roadworks and traffic management information from Elgin. This collaboration ultimately enables drivers to reach their destinations more quickly and highway authorities and utility companies to monitor and respond to the impact of roadworks on road users in real-time.
TomTom is enabling all of its 60 million portable navigation devices to receive free daily map changes via the TomTom map share community. Map share allows drivers to personalise the TomTom map on their own device and also share and receive map changes with the community around the world. This facility was previously only available on a limited number of TomTom devices.
