Simple solution to parking in Sweden

Two car parks in Skåne, Sweden, are benefiting from a new parking system installed by Swarco, which uses automatic licence plate recognition (ALPR) to replace the previous payment system. SwappAccess enables users to register their vehicle details with the system’s web portal and pay in advance for parking via a credit card. The system automatically registers the licence plate of each vehicle arriving and departing the car park, which Swarco says results in a more efficient traffic flow.
