Vehicle detection and identification technology provider 3838 Nedap is to partner with Czech traffic management company 7691 Cross on improving the control of city traffic flows, by integrating Nedap’s parking bay sensor system Sensit into the Cross traffic management and information system InVipo.

The combination of Sensit, which provides real time parking space usage information, with InVipo traffic management provides traffic managers and parking operators with data on parking, public transportation, vehicle and pedestrian traffic movements, enabling them to provide real time traffic data to road users.

According to Nedap, the two companies are now able to provide a complete solution for smart city customers in order to improve urban mobility. They believe that the resulting intelligent traffic system decreases travel times, improves traffic flows and reduces emissions.
