112 Redflex has gained type approval in the Netherlands and Switzerland for its speed and red light enforcement systems.

The company’s RedflexRadarcam mobile speed enforcement system has been verified to meet the Dutch approval requirements. It is said to be the first speed enforcement system to utilise twin radars for speed detection in all weather conditions with lane and vehicle identification and vehicle position across up to six lanes of traffic simultaneously.

The Swiss authorities have type-approved the company’s RedflexRed-radar fixed traffic enforcement solution which simultaneously tracks up to 30 vehicles and records two independent speed measurements for each. Redflex claims it is the first red light and speed enforcement system with true secondary speed verification capability.
