Tispol rebrands as Roadpol

Enforcement group Tispol is to rebrand as Roadpol – European Roads Policing Network.

The network of European traffic police forces issued a statement saying that it will continue to devote its energy to making Europe’s roads safer.

Roadpol’s road safety campaign and awards programme Project Edward will continue under a new name, which will be announced in the future.

The pandemic has also forced the consortium to suspend its pan-European speed enforcement weeks which which now run under the name Roadpol.

The figures have been published by the European Traffic Police Network, Tispol. Findings also revealed that 16 countries had zero fatalities. The project aims to raise awareness of road safety issues and to draw attention to value of national and Europe-wide road safety targets.

    European Traffic Police Network, TISPOL, has released details of the first pan European 24-hour speed enforcement marathon. In total, 22 countries are taking part in the marathon, starting today, Thursday 16 April at 0600 and continuing to 0600 on Friday 17 April.
