Malhotra replaces Hanson at top of IRD 

Succession plan sees 12-year company veteran take over

International Road Dynamics (IRD) has appointed Rish Malhotra as president and CEO in a “planned leadership succession process”.

Formerly chief operating officer, Malhotra replaces Randy Hanson, who has retired.

"Even through the recent challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic, IRD has continued to persevere while exceeding the expectations of our customers," said Hanson. 

"After over 22 years working with the IRD team, I am very confident that this is a good time to retire and spend more time with my family," he added. 

Malhotra is an engineer and has held several roles in the company, including vice president, international business.

Thanking his predecessor, he said that he looked forward to growing the company’s ITS portfolio.

“Today's pace of change is exponential and IRD has a tremendous opportunity to ensure our worldwide customers succeed by delivering smart transportation solutions driven by our technology,” Malhotra concluded.
