79 Jenoptik’s Traffic Solutions division has received a major order from Singapore’s NCS Communications Engineering. The company will install its latest TraffiStar SR520 red light enforcement systems for the Singapore Police Force at 240 locations in the south-east Asia city.

The order also includes the supply of Jenoptik’s TraffiDesk pro back office software for efficient and secure incident processing and adjudication. Deliveries will take place within the second half of 2014.

The TraffiStar SR520 stationary measurement system is based on reliable point measuring induction loop technology for red-light violation enforcement on multiple traffic lanes at intersections, the identification of vehicle class and the automatic recognition of violators’ number plates.

“We are delighted to have won this tender as the technology partner to NCS. After large projects in China, Malaysia and recently Australia, this is another key order which further reinforces Jenoptik’s position as a supplier of state-of-the-art traffic enforcement solutions in the Asia/Pacific market,” says Jenoptik CEO Michael Mertin.
