Swarco has deepened its business relations with Supalux to further strengthen their road marking systems business together in Australia.

The terms of the deal have not been revealed but Swarco confirms it will have its own base in Western Australia's capital Perth.

Over the past five years, Swarco says Supalux has developed into a significant user and producer of its high performance road marking systems, giving a boost to the performance of road markings, ultimately contributing to improved road safety in Australia.

Harald Mosböck, Swarco’s road marking systems vice president for Europe & APMEA, says: “I am convinced that Supalux will benefit from Swarco’s three-fold know-how in the manufacture of glass beads and road marking materials and their professional application."

"The R&D progress made at our Center of Competence for Glass Technology and Road Marking Systems in Austria will also be shared with Supalux and introduce further positive impulses.“

Supalux managing director John Vyse says: “I am certain that Swarco will bring significant technological development to the Australian traffic technology market now and in the years to come.”

˝We count on the entrepreneurial spirit and mentality of both our family businesses to strengthen our market position, make technological advances and further improve the safety on Australian roads˝, conclude Mosböck and Swarco chief operating officer Michael Schuch in a statement.
