Tobias Deubel has taken over as head of Jenoptik’s Smart Mobility Solutions division; he replaces Kevin Chevis, who has retired.

Deubel was previously Jenoptik director, global sales, and has been MD of Jenoptik Robot since January 2021.

Chevis, who was interviewed by ITS International in 2022, said it was "a good time to change my lifestyle and spend more time with family and friends”.

He joined Jenoptik at the end of 2014 with the acquisition of the British company Vysionics, where he had been CEO since 2010. He became head of division in February 2018.

“I would like to express my deep gratitude to Kevin for being a true leader for this division for many years during some difficult times," said Jenoptik president & CEO Stefan Traeger.

"He’s built a great management team and the business has developed into a strong, modern, and competitive organisation in the smart mobility marketplace. I wish Kevin all the best for his future private life, after a long career in the industry. At the same time, I am happy that Tobias accepted to take over this responsibility and I am sure, he will further successfully shape and bring the division forward.”
