The French city of Toulouse will host the next ITS European Congress.

Organiser Ertico – ITS Europe announced that the event will run from 30 May to 2 June 2022, with the theme of Smart and Sustainable Mobility for All.

"The city has one of the oldest European universities, yet has some of the most innovative technology being created in its surrounding area,’ says Ertico CEO Jacob Bangsgaard.

"It will come as no surprise either that urban air mobility will be at the top of the programme with the heart of the European aerospace industry based in the region."

The usual mixture of conference programme, exhibition, technology demonstrations and networking opportunities will feature at the event, which will take place at the newly-built Exhibition and Conference Centre MEETT, near Toulouse-Blagnac Airport.

With 1.3 million residents, Toulouse is the fourth-largest city in France and is capital of the Haute-Garonne and Occitanie region.

"We are looking forward to collaborating strongly with Ertico - ITS Europe to create a truly memorable European Congress," says Jean-Claude Dardelet, vice président, Toulouse Métropole.

"Our close and effective collaboration between private and public partners will be a key theme that we will be presenting to participants."
