A wide range of transportation technologies will be on show at CES 2023, which runs from 5-8 January in Las Vegas, US.

For example, Lidar specialist Innoviz (booth 6553) will run live demos of its technology, highlighting its work with partners including Sensagrate, whose SensaVision system is being piloted for smart city projects in California and Arizona to promote pedestrian and driver safety through intelligent traffic analytics and data collection.

HiRain Technologies will demonstrate its five-in-one sensor unit in action, which uses InnovizOne Lidar to monitor traffic and is now deployed at several ports in China.

Outsight will have its spatial intelligence software on display at the Innoviz booth, showcasing how its real-time edge processing and cloud capability is effectively integrating 3D InnovizOne data for any infrastructure or vehicle application

Meanwhile the South Korean city of Seoul has its own tech pavilion, in the main exhibition hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, where it will be promoting itself as Seoul: City of Green Technology and Smart Transportation.

Mobility is among its main priorities, and the city will be promoting its new urban air mobility (UAM) system as well as plans for autonomous vehicles (AVs).

Ansys (booth 4401) will showcase its latest simulation solutions to accelerate "a connected, autonomous, shared, and electric future for the mobility industry" and explain how partners are using them.

These include Autotalks' Vehicle to Everything (V2X) ZooZ device which helps micromobility devices such as Bianchi's e-bike to communicate with V2X-equipped vehicles and infrastructure.

Meanwhile Bridgestone (booth 5867) says its vision for sustainable mobility revolves around three key themes: renewable natural rubber and tire recycling, "Smart Corner" digitally connected tires and air springs for EVs, and a 'digital concierge' experience for personal and fleet vehicle management.
