The ITS World Congress 2022 officially concluded today and announced that Atlanta will be the next US city to host the event in 2025, in partnership with ITS America, ITS Asia-Pacific, and Ertico – ITS Europe, and produced by RX.

“On behalf of the Georgia Department of Transportation, we are excited to welcome ITS World Congress 2025 to Atlanta,” said Russel R. McMurry, commissioner of Georgia DoT.

“As part of our ongoing goals to reduce our carbon footprint and provide more sustainable transportation solutions, this event will complement our continuous efforts to provide safe, sustainable transportation for Georgians.”

The Los Angeles event this week saw 6,000 industry professionals from 64 countries registered.

“We were thrilled to once again bring industry leaders from around the world together to discuss how transportation technology is creating a future that is safer, greener, and smarter for all,” said Laura Chace, president and CEO of ITS America.

There were more than 180 educational sessions and panels at the Congress, with opening remarks from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and plenary sessions focused on safety, equitable mobility, decarbonisation and the importance of digital infrastructure.

“ITS World Congress 2022 successfully united global industry experts to develop smart transportation solutions into the future. It was fantastic to see the international diversity and footprint the show recruited to attend,” said Jaime McAuley, ITS America Events event director at RX.

The next two ITS World Congress events will be held in Suzhou, China, in 2023; and Dubai, UAE, in 2024.

Upcoming ITS America Events include annual meetings in April 2023 in Grapevine, Texas, and in April 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona.
