Conduent has completed the $230 million sale of its Curbside Management Solutions and Public Safety Solutions businesses to Modaxo Group, the transportation division of Constellation Software.

Cliff Skelton, chief executive of Conduent, called the sale “another significant step in our efforts to concentrate on our core capabilities and foster growth”.

Modaxo has rebranded the kerbside management and parking business as Trellint, with Jim Vaca, former COO and GM with Conduent Transportation Solutions as its general manager.

Meanwhile Elovate - the new name for the other part of its new business, which will focus on automated traffic enforcement solutions - is led by Robert DeSanti, former GM for TripSpark Technologies.

“With Elovate and Trellint we are creating two powerful new brands to address critical needs in the parking and traffic enforcement landscape,” said Rod Jones, head of Americas and Australia/New Zealand with Modaxo.

“We invest in companies and people for the long term, and are thrilled to welcome new clients and team members to Modaxo.”

Modaxo says Elovate and Trellint "can now leverage the collective expertise and resources available to them" as part of the group.

This includes access to investment, support, coaching, best practice and "valuable peer-to-peer learning opportunities".
