Howick offers ride-share to Auckland ferries 

Transdev subsidiary provides seven-day, on-demand connection service

Transdev subsidiary Howick and Eastern is providing an on-demand ride-share service to and from the Half Moon Bay Ferry Terminal in East Auckland, New Zealand. 

Howick has deployed the MyMobigo service in collaboration with transport provider Liftango. 

Greg Pollock, Transdev’s managing director for New Zealand, says the new app-based service would provide a convenient option for people to connect to ferry services seven days per week.

“The service is incredibly easy to use and puts the customer in control, with bookings, payments and real-time vehicle tracking available through the MyMobigo app,” Pollock adds. 

Regular fares start at $4.50 for adults and $3.50 for concession card holders and children. 

Sheryll Otway, general manager for Howick and Eastern, says drivers of MyMobigo’s fleet of luxury vans have a comprehensive knowledge of the local area. 

“Customers can expect a comfy and hassle-free ride, with MyMobigo’s fleet comprising of new, modern and luxurious vehicles, equipped with USB charging and complimentary WiFi,” Otway adds.
