Optibus and Snapper Services, which both provide data services for public transportation operations, have signed a global partnership.

The companies have integrated Optibus’ Performance Suite with Snapper Services’ Mosaiq Insights transportation analytics platform, allowing transit operators to view complex data sets, improve runtimes, and monitor the impact of service changes on one platform.

Planned data can be compared with automatic vehicle location (AVL) information such as traffic patterns, bus location and timing, allowing operators to see what happened and why when it comes to service disruptions and timetable adherence.

"Reliable, on-time services are key to increasing public transportation ridership," says Amos Haggiag, CEO and co-founder of Optibus.

"With stronger data insights, operators and agencies worldwide can more quickly identify the cause of service disruptions and offer innovative solutions for on-time performance issues."

Miki Szikszai, CEO of Snapper Services, says: "Together, we’re paving the way for a sustainable future where every journey is optimised for efficiency and passenger satisfaction, accelerating our shared vision for a greener, more connected world."

Optibus’ Predictive Runtimes, part of the firm's Performance Suite, employs AI to forecast bus runtimes, while Mosaiq Insights highlights on-time performance monitoring and network improvements.
