Future cities focus in Barcelona

Smart City Expo and Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress take place from 15-17 November

Sustainability, inclusiveness, 5G connectivity and urban mobility are among the topics to be covered at the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) and Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress (TMWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on 15-17 November.

ITS International is a media partner for the dual events, which also feature an exhibition, panels and presentations on diverse topics such as low-emission zones, cybersecurity, Internet of Things and digital twins.

#SCEWC22 will focus on eight main tracks: Enabling Technologies, Energy & Environment, Mobility, Governance, Living & Inclusion, Economy, Infrastructure & Buildings, and Safety & Security.

#TMWC22 is zeroing in on mobility - including micromobility, public transport, automotive, last-mile logistics, digitalisation and infrastructure - as well as regulation, security and post-Covid recovery.

Co-organised between Fira de Barcelona and EIT Urban Mobility, it returns after a pilot edition last year.

Meanwhile the winner of the 2022 World Smart City Awards, which recognises innovative city strategies, projects and ideas with the potential to create more sustainable, inclusive places to live in the Auditorium on 16 November.
