The deadline for submissions to the ITS World Congress in Hamburg has been extended to Friday 12 February.

A statement from organiser Ertico says the extension is warranted "given the currently challenging times".

ITS World Congress 2021 runs from 11-15 October.

" The City of Hamburg is preparing to host this great event entirely focused on smart mobility and the digitalisation of transport," the ITS Europe mobility organisation says.

"To create the innovation that plays an essential role in the ITS Congresses, we rely on you: mobility experts and stakeholders in the ITS community."

" We invite you to submit your paper, business presentation and session proposal, which will ensure the ITS conversation continues."

Ertico adds: "As you know, throughout 2020 we have adapted to the ‘new normal’ and continued working for the ITS Community."

"By transforming possible challenges into opportunities in 2021, we are confident that we will soon move forward."
