ITS Australia Summit 2024: keynotes and breakouts

MaaS, C-ITS and on-demand mobility feature in Sydney event from 13-15 August

ITS Australia has released further details of its Summit 2024, which will be held in Sydney from 13-15 August.

Keynote speakers include Michael Hopkins, CEO and commissioner of the National Transport Commission, and An Nguyen, CEO of North East Link State Tolling Corporation.

Over three days of conference, exhibition and networking, there will be a variety of breakout sessions.

These include Future Mobility - Door-to-Door Transport, which will look at on-demand and other options with Siemens Mobility, industry consultancy Mobility Futures and UQ's Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety - Queensland.

Connected and Cooperative ITS - Trials and Case Studies includes presentations from government (Transport for NSW), industry (Kapsch TrafficCom Australia) and academia (UTS and University of Newcastle).

And Enabling MaaS - Payments, Modes, and Customer Experience will look at the role of Mobility as a Service: University of Sydney's Professor John Nelson will make a case for the scalability of MaaS, and Cubic Transportation Systems vice president of innovation Ellory Monks will examine the future of transportation payments.
