ITS America announces 'strong slate of leaders' for 2024

New officers are drawn from public and private sector mobility, technology and ITS sectors

Joanna M. Pinkerton, president/CEO of Central Ohio Transit Authority, is to chair ITS America in 2024.

She is one of a raft of elected officers certified this week by ITS America's board of directors. The officers come from mobility, technology and ITS - in both public and private sectors - and their role is to set policy and strategic direction for the association.

“We are proud to announce this strong slate of leaders who will be joining us at a pivotal time as we increasingly invest in digital solutions to modernise our transportation system across modes,” said ITS America president & CEO Laura Chace. 

“As we continue our work to leverage the generational investments in transportation to benefit communities coast to coast, these leaders are showcasing how technology can be integrated to provide safer, greener and smarter mobility for all.”

 

Who is in the 2024 ITS America leadership team?

 

Chair – Joanna M. Pinkerton, president/CEO, Central Ohio Transit Authority

Vice Chair – Chris Armstrong, vice president of product, Cavnue

Secretary – Seleta Reynolds, chief innovation officer, LA Metro

Treasurer – Laurel Straub, assistant vice president, State Farm

Immediate Past Chair – Monali Shah, strategic business executive – industry solutions for smart cities and urban mobility, Google

 

"I appreciate the opportunity to work alongside such a talented and innovative group of forward-thinking executives who share a common vision for the future of mobility across our nation and with global ITS partners across continents,” Pinkerton said.

ITS America is committed "to transforming transportation through new technology as well as developing a diverse workforce prepared for the future". 

"I look forward to 2024 as a year where our innovative and rapidly evolving transportation industry partners together to implement incredible solutions for people, businesses, and the economy," Pinkerton concluded.

In addition to the new executive leadership, the following members were elected to the Board of Directors to represent the public and private organizations that make up ITS America.
