ITS European Congress 2022: preview

Event takes place in Toulouse from 30 May to 1 June and focuses on smart mobility

Congress features an exhibition, high-level conference programme, tech visits, demos and start-ups

Ertico - ITS Europe has released its Preview of the 14th ITS European Congress in Toulouse.

The event takes place from 30 May to 1 June in Toulouse, France, and will cover:

  • Services for citizens
  • Next generation solutions
  • Green and sustainable mobility
  • From large-scale trials to deployment
  • Cities as Logistics hubs

Held at the MEETT Exhibition and Conference Centre, the Congress brings together sustainable and smart mobility stakeholders.

In addition to the exhibition, the High-Level Programme includes speakers from the European Commission, ITS industry and senior city officials.

The Technical Programme will offer experts from the ITS community the opportunity to present their innovations and share experiences.

There will also be live outdoor demonstrations as well as technical visits - and a dedicated Start-ups area where young firms can present their ideas to companies and experts.

    The European Commission (EU) is expected to invest around US$276 million to create smart cities in the next two years. The High Level Group of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) for Smart Cities and Communities has agreed the Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) which will serve as the basis for speeding up the deployment of Smart City solutions in Europe. The SIP is drafted by and based on a thorough consultation of representatives from industry, cities, civil society and research including UITP.
