The 27th ITS World Congress opens today in Hamburg, Germany.

Following 18 months where various international shows have been postponed, cancelled or have gone completely online due to the Covid pandemic, the event marks the first time since worldwide lockdown measures were introduced last year that the ITS community has come together.

Jacob Bangsgaard, CEO of organiser Ertico - ITS Europe, says: "It has been a challenging journey, but we are ready to meet again to discuss the latest ITS developments."

Under the overarching theme of Experincing Future Mobility Now, five days of exhibition, conference and demonstrations will be kicked off by an opening ceremony sponsored by Deutsche Bahn.

ITS International's Daily News team is publishing three Daily News magazines covering industry announcements, contract wins, product stories and interviews.
