Start-ups to present smart mobility projects at Automobile Barcelona

Onboard Ventures, the open innovation initiative of Ficosa and Idneo, the Ficosa group’s engineering firm, has selected ten start-ups to present their smart mobility solutions for the automotive industry in the 4YFN Mobility Village at the Automobile Barcelona Connected Hub on 11 and 12 May. Onboard Ventures, the open innovation initiative of Ficosa and Idneo, the Ficosa group’s engineering firm, has selected ten start-ups to present their smart mobility solutions for the automotive industry in the 4YFN Mobility Village at the Automobile Barcelona Connected Hub on 11 and 12 May.


Onboard Ventures aims to support start-ups in advancing their projects and turning them into viable businesses.

The finalists include four Spanish companies which have developed geo-location solutions and an anti-fog solution for car windows, based on nano-coatings. Other finalists include two from Germany will demonstrate automatic parking space location and ultra-available time-critical wireless technology, an Estonian group which offer IoT solutions for bicycle and motorcycle manufacturers, a UK company which  leverages car’s vibrations to revolutionise predictive maintenance and a Polish venture which provides a driving assistant to make any car intelligent.
