Sensoris represents a group of vehicle manufacturers, telecommunications, location, content and service providers and navigation systems suppliers whose new specification is intended to be used across the automotive industry.

The new standard also monitors weather environment, road infrastructure, traffic regulation, traffic events and in-vehicle statistics.

Jacob Bangsgaard, chief executive officer at ERTICO, says Sensoris gathers partners to exchange knowledge and propose new solutions that will contribute to the deployment of smart and safe mobility around the world.

The group is reaching out to relevant standards and consortia through the %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 link-external Open AutoDrive Forum false http://www.openautodrive.org/ false false%> in a bid to harmonise data flow and allow interoperability between data formats. Discussions with projects working on real-world scenarios in the automated driving ecosystem are ongoing.

The forum serves as a discussion platform for cross-domain topics in the area of autonomous driving which require co-operation throughout the industry.
