Driver assisted truck platooning, enabled by V2V communications, offers substantial fuel economy and safety benefits for long haul trucking.  A project started in 2013 under the 831 Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Exploratory Advanced Research program has funded 2006 Auburn University, Peloton, Peterbilt Trucks, Meritor-4319 Wabco, and the 5478 American Transportation Research Institute to investigate technical performance and the practical aspects of integrating this type of system into a modern trucking operation.

This webinar will provide an overview of the project, results to date, and future plans.

    The first InterCor TestFest, focusing on ITS G5 services (Wifi-p), is to be held in the Netherlands from 3-7 July on the A16 motorway near Dordrecht in the Netherlands.
