Cubic executive appointed to Australia’s iMOVE CRC Board of Directors

Dirk Van de Meerssche, sales and marketing director of intelligent transport systems and tolling for Cubic Transportation Systems Asia Pacific has been appointed to the board of directors at iMOVE Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) in Australia. The CRC aims to reduce the growing pressure on Australia’s transport systems by developing future technologies for smart transportation and mobility.

Dirk Van de Meerssche, sales and marketing director of intelligent transport systems and tolling for Cubic Transportation Systems Asia Pacific has been appointed to the board of directors at iMOVE Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) in Australia. The CRC aims to reduce the growing pressure on Australia’s transport systems by developing future technologies for smart transportation and mobility.

Cubic is one of 45 institutions, organisations, government departments and businesses partnering with iMOVE Australia to create the iMOVE CRC. The CRC’s ambitious 10-year program recently won the support of the Australian government with a US$44 million (AUD $55 million) grant to help spearhead the development of intelligent transport systems, including autonomous vehicles.
