2125 Audi and 163 Inrix have joined forces to introduce Inrix XD Traffic services to Audi vehicles in North America, available in model year 2015 Audi vehicles with Audi connect.

Inrix XD Traffic services cover more than two million miles of road in North America, including highways, ramps, interchanges, arterials, city and other secondary roads, delivering real-time navigation information, including routes, travel times and alerts to incidents on the road.

The addition of Inrix XD Traffic to the Audi connect suite of services complements real-time parking availability and fuel information services already available through Audi MMI    Navigation-equipped vehicles. Inrix Park helps drivers navigate to the closest available parking, easily compare rates and get turn-by-turn directions to the entrances for more than 23,000 parking locations in North America. Additionally, Inrix Fuel provides location and real-time fuel price information for more than 140,000 petrol stations in North America.

Other available Audi connect services include Bluetooth  mobile phone connectivity as well as real-time new, local traffic, travel and weather information, social media feeds, access to Internet Radio stations and more.

“The addition of Inrix XD Traffic to the Audi connect suite of services gives Audi drivers one more valuable tool to assist with the unavoidable challenges that come with everyday driving,” said Anupam Malhotra, senior manager of Connected Vehicle, Audi of America. “The dynamic flow of traffic information means customers can count on their Audi vehicles to help them find the best route to their destination.”

“A higher level of data resolution and improved re-routing algorithms means Inrix XD Traffic provides drivers with an unprecedented level of traffic precision,” said Andreas Hecht, Vice president and GM of Automotive, Inrix. “This embodies the standard of performance and innovation customers expect from Audi.”
