PTV Group teams up with TomTom on real-time traffic information

Strasbourg Eurométropole in France has selected PTV Group, in collaboration with TomTom, to monitor traffic and congestion in real-time across more than 600 kilometres of the greater Strasbourg road network. Strasbourg Eurométropole in France has selected 3264 PTV Group, in collaboration with 1692 TomTom, to monitor traffic and congestion in real-time across more than 600 kilometres of the greater Strasbourg road network.

The project will enable SIRAC, the city traffic management centre, to combine real-time data sourced by TomTom with PTV’s Optima analytics platform to monitor and control traffic conditions. In addition, real-time information on the current traffic situation can be communicated to drivers on both the urban and suburban networks.

The real-time data feeds also the traffic information channels such as Webportal or the Strasbourg city app, Strasmap.
