The eCoMove final event, to be held at Eurogress, Aachen, Germany, from 20-21 November, offers a variety of events including a conference, an exhibition presenting the final results of the project and live driving demonstrations on public roads.  

Showcasing state-of-the-art cooperative intelligent transportation systems (ITS) for energy efficiency, the event will look at mitigating the environmental impacts of road transport through the latest ITS technologies: eCoMove technological advances aim to lower road transport emissions by targeting inefficiencies in driving behaviour, logistics planning and traffic management; the detailed results of eCoMove project activities; real-life demonstrations, simulators and interactive hands-on applications;  project test and impact assessment results; and deploying cooperative mobility applications.

Participants include research institutes, industry executives, public authorities and EU policy makers.     Findings of a Jordanian Customs’ trial of the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems (E-GNSS) and EGNOS (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service which corrects GNSS errors to improve accuracy and security) are to be presented at a special event in Amman. The trial evaluated the system for tracking and tracing containers shipped across the Mediterranean Sea and the vehicles transporting the goods in Jordan.

    The first InterCor TestFest, focusing on ITS G5 services (Wifi-p), is to be held in the Netherlands from 3-7 July on the A16 motorway near Dordrecht in the Netherlands. Co-organised by the InterCor project together with Dutch partners of the C-ITS Corridor, the TestFest will provide roadworks warning (RWW), probe vehicle data (PVD) and in-vehicle signage (IVS) services via fixed roadside units (RSUs) for testing in representative lab environment as well as for testing in real life traffic conditions.
