UTA (Union Tank Eckstein) has connected its interoperable tolling solution to systems in Norway (ferries and motorway bridges), Sweden (bridges), Denmark (bridges) and Switzerland (including Liechtenstein).

UTA says the UTA One solution now covers 13 toll contexts in 12 European countries.

Customers can activate the solution in each country via the UTA customer service portal, the company adds.

UTA says on its website new toll contexts can be flexibly activated over the air while single trips reports provide an analysis of a toll.

UTA CEO Carsten Bettermann says: "We’re committed to shaping and developing the European mobility market as an innovation leader. With this context extension, we're making our proven UTA One even better to offer our customers the best possible user experience.”

UTA One is also operational in Belgium (plus Liefkenshoektunnel), Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Poland (A4), Portugal and Spain.

The company plans to extend UTA One to further European countries in the coming months.
