Norwegian tolling systems supplier 108 Q-Free
has been awarded a US$2.5 million order for toll tags from the
2098 Australian Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA). These are for delivery in
July.
“Australia is a mature market within road user charging and is expanding the use of cashless tolling,” says Q-Free’s CEO, Dr Øyvind Isaksen.
“This implies increased demand for tags and modernisation of existing roadside infrastructure, and as such Australia represents an important market for Q-Free.”
