NPRA extends Q-Free’s toll contract

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) has announced its intention to award Q-Free an order for the extension of the ongoing contract for operation of Norway’s central toll collection system. The contract is valued at around US$20 million (NOK 170 million) over three years.

    Q-Free wins in Portugal and Brazil
    Portuguese road operator Ascendi has awarded Q-Free a five year service and maintenance contract, valued at over US$15 million, related to tolling infrastructure deployed in Beiras Litoral e Alta and Interior Norte concessions. Meanwhile, in Brazil, Q-Free has been awarded an order for tags and roadside equipment from Centro Gestao Meios de Pagto (CGMP) in Brazil valued at US$8.68 million. This order is a call off from the framework agreement of $34.25 million announced in October, 2010.

    Q-Free awarded toll tag contract in Russia
    Q-Free has recently signed a three-year framework agreement to supply toll tags to Northern Capital Highway, a toll operator in St. Petersburg, Russia. The agreement has a total value of approximately US$1.4 million (NOK11 million) over the period. According to Q-Free, the tag market in Russia has been picking up over the last years and the company has received orders from several customers, although the framework agreement with Northern Capital Highway is the largest single agreement for Q-Free in Russi
