From its beginnings in 1892 when Kapsch produced Morse code, telegraph and telephone equipment, to radio production, television transmission in 1930, redevelopment of the telephone network into digital mobile telecommunications, and railway radio communications and traffic systems, Kapsch has become a group specialising in intelligent traffic and transportation management.

Today, Kapsch TrafficCom specialises in intelligent transportation systems and traffic management solutions, of toll collection, traffic management, smart urban mobility, traffic safety and security, and connected vehicles. Kapsch CarrierCom is an international specialist in digital railway communications systems, Kapsch PublicTransportCom is: focusing on new growth markets and Kapsch BusinessCom specialises in digitisation and cyber security.
