IBTTA has expanded its leadership team to support both growth and its advocacy for the industry.

“We’re seeing a crisis in infrastructure investment across the globe, with more than $780 billion needed to modernise roads and bridges in the US alone, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers,” said Pat Jones, executive director and CEO of IBTTA.

“As IBTTA approaches nearly a century of advocacy for the use of tolling, pricing, and road usage charging solutions, we’re committed to providing our members with the in-house expertise and resources to lead in global infrastructure finance, delivery and operations.”

The international tolling association has added three leadership roles to bolster finance, administration, communications and government affairs, as well as two new positions to strengthen membership and meeting offerings.

Mark Muriello is promoted to vice president of policy and government affairs, having been director of that brief since 2020.

Muriello has held roles with Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Transportation Research Board and the E-ZPass Group.

Phillip Morrone has joined from American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators as vice president, finance and administration; while Tanya Sheres is the new vice president, communications, marketing and media relations. She was previously at global toll road operator Transurban and has previously worked at Amtrak and Transwestern.

In other appointments, Erin Mosher has joined IBTTA as meeting content producer and Kristen Bean is conference production & speaker relations coordinator.

IBTTA recently launched its Be Safe Together road safety campaign, which will include the first IBTTA Global Road Safety Week, taking place 24-28 June.
