The future of sustainable transport is not just a goal - it's a necessity, says European tolling organisation Asecap, ahead of its 3rd Sustainability Forum, to be held in Dublin on 26 November 2024.

All aspects of ‘going green’ will be discussed in the Irish capital: how to encourage the development of new greener mobility options; how to attract private investors and stakeholders; policy and vision to promote new mobility solutions; use of motorways to sustain mass public transport such as bus rapid transit, carpooling and car sharing; and electrification of motorways as well as access to hydrogen other alternative fuels.

Speakers will be from Asfinag, Autostrade per l’Italia, Irish Department of Transport, Aiscat, Globalvia in Spain, the European Clean Transport Network Alliance (ECTN), Sanef, Abertis and many more.

Julián Nuñez, president of Asecap, will welcome attendees and set the tone for the conference, which aims to help shape the infrastructure for future carbon-free roads.

Asecap says there is a need to modernise and adapt infrastructure in compliance with European Union objectives to make them greener, to enhance people’s quality of life, to provide equal access for all citizens whether they live in remote territories or in urban areas, to improve resilience of road mobility and to support the smooth functioning of national economies.
