Talbot: 'Safe and efficient mobility...drives broad economic growth'

Mark Talbot has joined toll technology specialist Q-Free as executive chair of the company, which is headquartered in Norway.

It's an important time for Q-Free, which has recently been bought by investment firm Guardian Smart Infrastructure Management.

Talbot will lead a team of 370 people in 15 countries, "overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations, innovation, sales, marketing, growth and long-term vision", Q-Free says.

Talbot is vastly experienced in the transportation industry: he was MD and group CEO of Redflex Holdings from 2017-21 and held various senior transport-related roles at Conduent (formerly Xerox) before that.

One of his main priorities will be building on Q-Free's growth. “Ensuring safe and efficient mobility improves the livability of a community and drives broad economic growth," says Talbot. "I look forward to working with the team of professionals at Q-Free who for over 40 years, have developed leading technology and provided the highest levels of service to drive value for their clients and stakeholders.”

Talbot will attend Intertraffic Amsterdam (16-20 April) and the ITS America Conference & Expo in Phoenix, Arizona (22-25 April).

ITS International is producing the Daily News at both events.
