Kapsch TrafficCom is enabling drivers to use their Peach Pass transponder to make automatic cashless payments for parking at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL) in Georgia.

Kapsch says the new functionality has the potential to impact hundreds of thousands of drivers who use the Peach Pass electronic toll collection system and travel at ATL.

The company delivers the new payment option in collaboration with the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Hub, the airport operator.

It builds on a project in which Kapsch delivered a new customer service system (CSS) for the SRTA, which manages the Peach Pass programme.

The new CSS is expected to support road users and system operators. It comprises an enhanced Peach Pass website, new mobile app, and interactive voice response system as well as interactive road network maps and toll pricing maps.

According to Kapsch, SRTA operations staff also benefit from a new customer relationship management tool, financial module, unified activity screen for processing customer inquiries from a single interface, and an integrated reporting platform with cloud-based credit card processing.

The Kapsch Operian Back Office Solution (BOS) powers this system, which currently processes all SRTA tolling and parking transactions.

The BOS supports interoperable partner transactions with Florida and North Carolina toll facilities today and will support the processing of other E-ZPass agency transactions in the future, the company adds.
