New Hampshire upgrades E-ZPass cameras

As part of a US$7.2 million E-ZPass system upgrade, the cameras in E-ZPass lanes across New Hampshire are capturing the licence plates of all vehicles as they pass through the lanes. As part of a US$7.2 million E-ZPass system upgrade, the cameras in E-ZPass lanes across New Hampshire are capturing the licence plates of all vehicles as they pass through the lanes.  The devices have brighter, more visible LED flashes, and capture front and rear licence plates.

The new systems have been installed in E-ZPass toll lanes within the last two months. They feature a better violation detection system and also upgraded technology that ensure vehicles that pass through the tolls match the vehicle assigned to that transponder.

  • TransCore to upgrade toll collection on four bridges between US-Mexico

    The City of Laredo has selected TransCore to provide a comprehensive upgrade to the toll collection system on its four international bridges between the US and Mexico. Each year, more than 6.7 million vehicles and three million pedestrians cross the Gateway to the Americas, the Juarez-Lincoln International, the Colombia Solidarity, and the World Trade bridges. The three-year project, which will be completed in 2018, upgrades both the electronic and cash payment toll collection systems.

    To tackle fatalities caused by red-light running, the city of Greenville, North Carolina, has implemented a red-light safety camera program that will issue a $100 (£75) fine to offenders, which it hopes will reduce both violations and collisions.
