Richard Taylor, SVP Global Strategy at ABnote, tells CARTES Daily News about the importance of mapping and the future of biometric authentication

Q Are there any business areas that you are not in but where you would like to have a presence?
A
As a technology-agnostic player, ABnote does not directly participate in the supply of SIM technology, but we offer a value proposition to those that do, particularly in providing marketing, packaging and distribution services with acute attention to security.

Q Can you give us a few thoughts about the importance of security, one of the key issues in our industry?
A Security must be dynamic. Within our solutions designs we need to have highly adaptive and responsive systems that recognise threats and contain them - but in a manner that meets privacy policies and expectations.

Q Things are changing fast - what is the next big trend do you think?
A Biometric authentication using the mobile device, where control of one’s identity and personal information remains with the user so that the exchange of information is limited to the minimum set necessary to deliver the service being sought.

Q Are you revealing any new products or services at CARTES?
A We will demonstrate the power of using geo location mapping analytics which help our customers understand what is really happening in their supply chains: this not only saves money, but improves sales performance by ensuring shoppers get what they want when they want it.
