Joost Vantomme: 'We can’t wait to welcome you to Seville!'

I am delighted to invite the ITS community to the 16th ITS European Congress, taking place in Seville from 19-21 May 2025. Organised by Ertico – ITS Europe and proudly hosted by the City of Seville, in collaboration with the Seville City Council, the Ministry of Transports and Sustainable Mobility, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT), the Junta de Andalucía, and ITS Spain, this Congress will be held under the theme “Clean, Resilient and Connected Mobility” - a reflection of Europe’s commitment to smarter, more sustainable transport.

Seville, a city with a strong identity and forward-thinking urban mobility strategy, provides the perfect setting to showcase innovation and transformation in ITS. The Congress will bring together over 3,500 mobility professionals from across Europe and beyond, fostering collaboration and highlighting impactful solutions driving the future of mobility.

Cross-sector collaboration

With a rich High-Level Conference Programme, an in-depth Technical Programme, a dynamic Exhibition, live Demonstrations, and curated Technical Visits, the Congress will offer unique learning opportunities and direct engagement with leading minds in the ITS sector. Attendees can also look forward to standout events like the Opening Ceremony, strategic dialogues on policy and innovation, and an exciting emphasis on urban and sustainable mobility. Don’t forget the ITS Dinner at the Casino de La Exposición, an unforgettable evening in one of Seville’s most iconic venues.

Working hand-in-hand with the City of Seville, and in cooperation with our European and international partners, this Congress demonstrates the power of cross-sector collaboration. It’s a chance to celebrate our partnerships and the shared commitment to delivering real-world mobility impact – aligned with key European Commission goals on sustainability, resilience, and climate neutrality. We are particularly pleased with the strong support of the European Commission, which reinforces a shared vision for digital and green transitions. This collaboration is a true win-win, fostering innovation, enabling policy alignment, and strengthening Europe’s global competitiveness in the transport and mobility sector.

Cutting-edge transport solutions

I look forward to seeing many Ertico Partners actively contributing through exhibition spaces, speaking engagements, live demonstrations and participation in the ITS Arena such as Aisin, CTAG, DGT, Google Maps, Mercedes Benz, Miovision, Monotch, City of Seville, Swarco, Transport for West Midlands, T-Systems and Qualcomm. The presence of key industry leaders and institutions will once again highlight the strength and unity of our ITS ecosystem.

This Congress is not only a showcase - it’s a moment to shape the future of European mobility. Join us in Seville to experience cutting-edge transport solutions, network with influential decision-makers, and be part of Europe’s journey toward clean, connected, and people-centred mobility.

Come visit us at the Ertico Stand (C5) in the Exhibition Hall to connect with our team and partners - we can’t wait to welcome you to Seville!
