EIT Urban Mobility is taking part in the sixth annual New Mobility Congress, which brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the future of transport and sustainable mobility.

The New Mobility Congress is the largest conference and expo in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to sustainable transport development. This year’s edition will focus on the evolving market and regulatory landscape, particularly the increasing targets for reducing emissions from cars and vans. The congress will serve as a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and develop solutions to help the CEE region transition towards greater sustainability. Furthermore, it will place particular emphasis on economic growth, reindustrialisation, and decarbonisation.

    The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a senior loan of US$44.5 million to finance the modernisation of Kosovo’s railway infrastructure, deepening regional integration and strengthening the country’s economic development. The loan to Infrastruktura e Hekurudhave të Kosovës (Infrakos), the national railway infrastructure company, will provide funding to upgrade Kosovo’s only international rail link, Rail Route 10.
