After decades operating under the CS brand, CS ITS has become Sanef ITS Technologies with the acquisition of the activity by Sanef Groupe, a leading operator and concessionaire. The company claims its unique set of references and expertise, are now part of a new market leader delivering best-in class mobility systems.

AC Desarrollo, the capital risk firm of Ahorro Corporacion, purchased a 21.3% stake in the Spanish firm Postigo, that specialises in road safety equipment, signalling and other traffic elements. The aim is to increase the stake to 31%, and the operation was performed through a capital increase. Postigo reported a turnover of EUR 72 million (US$103.22 million) in 2010.
In a wide ranging speech to the World Congress opening ceremony, US Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx (pictured) acknowledged the potential gains ITS can provide, praised the work already done and challenged the industry to work with USDOT on technical matters.
