Artificial intelligence (AI) is already making significant differences in day-to-day transportation management operations across the US, according to emerging technology experts at the recent virtual ITS World Congress. The panellists, brought together by Siemens Mobility’s ITS Digital Lab in Austin, Texas, encouraged transportation departments and public agencies to investigate ways AI and machine learning can make operations more efficient or help them develop and implement actionable decisions in real time.
